WHAT IF EATING ANIMALS IS BLOCKING YOUR CONNECTION TO GOD?
There is a teaching attributed to Jesus that most Christians have probably never heard…
It says:
“Kill not, neither eat the flesh of your innocent prey, lest you become the slaves of Satan.”
Read that again.
“THE SLAVES OF SATAN.”
He goes even further and says: “He who kills, kills himself.” And: “Whoso eats the flesh of slain beasts, eats of the body of death…the flesh of slain beasts… will become his own tomb”
Jesus said: “Defile not your body and your spirit.” Because…YOUR BODY IS THE TEMPLE.
So what are we putting inside it?
Dead animals.
Ultra-processed foods.
Artificial ingredients.
Toxins.
Alcohol.
Drugs…medications?
Or foods that actually look like they came from the Earth?
Food doesn’t just affect your physical body… it affects your consciousness, discernment and spiritual connection too?
“Healthy eating” was never just about your body.
It’s about your spirit and soul too.
Your body is the temple. You must change what you eat if you want a true, strong, unhindered relationship with God.
I've been eating healthy, clean and organic for close to 15 years.
I've always been someone who reads ingredients.
I try to buy organic wherever possible, choose foods that are clean, whole and minimally processed, eat predominantly plant-based, and I've done many different detoxes throughout the years.
And the more I've learned, the more I've come to realise that this isn't just about physical health.
It's spiritual too.
I don't believe the mind, body, spirit and soul can be separated into four completely independent things.
They are interconnected.
Our body is the vessel through which we experience this life. Our physical state affects our mental state. Our mental state affects our emotional state. And all of it can influence how we experience ourselves spiritually.
And more importantly WHAT we experience spiritually.
So why would we treat our physical body as though it has nothing to do with our spiritual life?
I believe one of the most overlooked parts of spiritual growth is what we put into our body.
No prayer, meditation or spiritual practice can replace taking care of the vessel you're actually having the experience through.
For me, cleansing has become a spiritual practice.
Juice fasting.
Eating predominantly plant-based.
Removing animal products.
Reducing processed foods.
Choosing organic and local where I can.
Reducing the toxic load coming into my home and onto my body through personal care and household products.
And regularly giving my body space to eliminate what it no longer needs.
Because we live in an increasingly toxic world.
Every day we are exposed to chemicals, pollutants, processed ingredients and countless substances our bodies have to process and eliminate.
Our bodies are incredibly intelligent and have their own detoxification systems — but that doesn't mean we should endlessly overwhelm them and then wonder why we don't feel our best - physically, mentally and spiritually.
And this is where I believe the physical and spiritual begin to overlap.
The clearer I become physically, the clearer I feel spiritually.
The more I clear out the noise, the more sensitive I become.
The more present I become.
The more I notice.
The stronger my discernment becomes.
The more connected I feel to The Divine.
The more deeply I experience Jesus.
And the more I can hear that quiet inner knowing that is so easy to drown out when we're constantly overstimulated, overconsuming and disconnected from our bodies.
I don't believe our bodies are something to punish, shame or obsess over.
I believe they are something to honour.
And for me, that means asking:
What am I putting into this vessel?
What am I exposing it to?
What am I asking it to process?
What am I doing to support it?
And am I consuming things that bring me closer to life and love — or things that move me further away from it? Things that bring me closer to death.
This is also why I believe we need to take more responsibility for our own health.
I'm not interested in blindly handing my health over to a system and assuming someone else knows my body better than I do.
That means becoming the authority of your own life.
Learning.
Questioning.
Researching.
Listening to your body.
Making conscious decisions.
And taking your power back.
Because your health is not separate from your spiritual journey.
Your body is the vessel of your soul.
And the more intentionally you care for the vessel, the more space you create to experience everything that is already WITHIN you.
This is something I've spent years learning, experiencing and questioning.
And it's a huge part of what I want to talk about on this website and my social media pages
Health. Consciousness. God. Jesus. The body. The soul. Sovereignty. Emotional healing. Divine Feminine. Powerful Birth. Embodied Womanhood. Embodied Motherhood.
And the uncomfortable truths we're often told not to question.
